This is just addressing a topic I have recently found to be annoying (personally, at least), and it seems to be a common line of thought. Many users seem to have the attitude that Luke Skywalker in the EU is far too powerful and "overpowered". A number of users have stated that Luke's EU portrayals cheapen the quality of the films and his character in it, and the Force within the films.

Hades fears that Poseidon's usage of earthquakes might shake the whole universe, and fears that he might move the foundations of the Underworld and show the forbidden sight of Hades (the realm), and burst all the veins of the subterranean channels and pour his water into Tartarus, flooding the gates of the lower world:


As Zeus no longer holds back in the Titanomachy, he unveils his true power. He hurls his lightning which whirls an awesome flame, burning and knocking down the earth and burning the vast wood, causing both the land and Oceanus's streams and seas to seethe (presumably in pain). Hot vapour rises from the seas and streams as a result, lapping around one of the Titans. Additionally, flames of unspeakable proportions are produced and Zeus's lightning blinded all those who saw, including the gods, giants and Titans. This affects even Chaos, the void from which all came into existence, and even Earth and Heaven come together as the power of Zeus's attacks hurls the Earth (Gaia) into ruin, and such attacks additionally bring forth powerful winds which, in turn, bring forth earthquakes and duststorms:
